Find a volunteer
If you would like to find a volunteer for your organisation,
please follow these two simple steps;
- Please read our FULL guidelines for organisations
- Fill in the following formsthen forward them to info@volunteercentre.bhci.org
(please fill in a separate volunteer request form for each distinct
volunteering role that you have).
Please contact us if you have any queries about finding a
volunteer.
Guidelines
We help to find volunteering opportunities for people in not-for-profit
organisations only. We do not screen or vet any volunteers and therefore
are not responsible for assessing a volunteer's suitability.
As we work with over 200 organisations and advertise in excess
of 500 opportunities, we have to rely upon you to keep us up to date with
any changes within your organisation, so please let us know if you no
longer require volunteers or you would like to discuss your use of volunteers
with us.
Filling in the Volunteer Request Form
The more accurate and complete the information about the volunteering
opportunity you have to offer the more chance you have to attract the
potential volunteer you have been desperately looking for!
We understand that some groups may have restrictions, for
example, that some groups are women only so please ensure you answer the
questions regarding your practice in relation to volunteers fully and
honestly. We will get back to you to discuss any issues that we are concerned
about.
If you are seeking volunteers for posts that are significantly
different from each other (for instance you are looking for an administrator
as well as shop workers) please fill in two different forms for each post.
Classifying your volunteering opportunity
The Volunteer Centre uses the classifications supplied by
Do-It.org. Where we advertise your opportunity will depend upon which
categories you choose. Please chose a maximum of 2 categories form the
